The Big Takeoff | Emirates

Over 40% of Americans don’t take their vacation days, which is bad news for both employees and their bosses. To generate awareness and encourage Americans to take their vacation days, Emirates teamed up with Ellen to kick off the Emirates Big Takeoff – a contest in which one grand-prize winner gets a trip to Dubai, while their office receives the Emirates treatment while they’re away. When you travel, everyone wins.

The segment: Two contestants competed to win an all-inclusive trip to Dubai and Capetown. The winner then played a game for the entire audience to win a trip to Dubai.

How it works for everyone else: Hopeful winners can enter the contest through the Big Takeoff landing page. One grand-prize winner will receive a trip to Dubai, and the Emirates treatment for their office – including regionally-inspired cuisine, private movie screenings, and an after-hours bartender.
