 Elyse and Jeremy’s Mexican 75

Elyse is one of my oldest friends and like a sister to me, so when she asked me to help out with wedding invitations and picking color schemes, I of course said yes! Elyse and Jeremy both love champagne and tequila, so we used that as inspiration for their theme and colors. We went with a light champagne pink and deep teal agave color to create these beautiful DIY foil-stamped invitations. They actually had a custom cocktail at their wedding which was a version of a French 75, but swapped Gin for Tequila and lemon juice for grapefruit juice, creating a Mexican 75.

The Invite:

• 5x7 layered invite with printed 5x7 backing card and 5x7 foil-stamped vellum overlay
• 4x6 RSVP post card
• 3x5 Dessert Reception card
• Die-cut A7 envelope in Emerald
• A7 envelope liner in Candy Pink

You can make your own foil-stamped invitation by following instructions here. You’ll need a laser printer, a laminator, and heat-activated foil.

The Cocktail:

• 2oz. Grapefruit juice
• 4 oz. Tequila Blanco
• 4 tsp. Agave syrup
• Prosecco
• Salt, sugar and/or lime for garnish

Combine grapefruit juice, tequila, and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill ½ way with ice and shake to chill. Pour into a champagne glass and top with prosecco. Garnish with sugar or salt and a lime slice.

Elyse’s Mother-In-Law is an event planner at Affair with Flair in Denver, CO. She reached out and asked me to help design a few more details for the big day, including Mad-Lib ceremony programs, Escort Cards (tied to Casamigos Tequila favors), Napkins, a bar sign, and stickers for favors. We used the same teal and pinks throughout and everything tied together beautifully on the big day!
