Elyse’s Bach Shit Crazy Jello Shots
When Elyse asked me to be a bridesmaid, she sent me a black and gold tank top which set the color scheme for her bachelorette party invitations. Her invites are a layered 5x7 card with gold glitter accents. We also included a Details card with an itinerary for the bar crawl we had planned. After a tireless day of running around to make sure all the pieces were in place to pull of this surprise, a strangulations drink was definitely needed. Bachelorette parties just screams Jell-o shots, so these are loaded with booze and bling. Paper and printing done by Cards and Pockets. The Invite:
• 5x7 layered invite with 5x7 Onyx Backing Card, 4.75x6.75 Glitter Gold Mat, and 4.5x6.5 Invitation
• 4x6 Details Card
• A7 envelope in Onyx
• A7 envelope liner in Glitter Gold
• I used decorative glitter gold washi tape to help seal the envelope
The Cocktail:
• ¾ c. Ginger Ale
• ¼ c. Vodka (Elyse doesn’t like vodka so we made two batches – one with Gin and one with Tequila, though vodka will provide a more mild taste)
• 1c. Prosecco
• 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
• Black food coloring
• Edible gold glitter for garnish
Combine Ginger Ale and 1/4c. Prosecco into saucepan. Add 3 packs of gelatin and let sit 2 minutes to soften. Turn burner on to med-low heat for 3-4 minutes to dissolve. Remove from heat. Add ¾ c. Prosecco and 5-7 drops of black food coloring. Stir in Vodka. Pour into molds and refrigerate 2-3 hours. Pop out of molds and serve in decorative glasses. Dust with edible glitter.
