Since 2009, The Big Ad Gig has given eight creative hopefuls the opportunity to compete live in New York and win one of five freelance creative jobs at agencies like Atmosphere Proximity, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and Ogilvy, NY. The 2014 and 2015 competitions used Twitter in a unique way to create “Tweet Briefs” — short briefs from each of our judges that participants could reply to with a photo, vine, meme, or a simple tweet.
How it Works: Each of the five judges tweeted video briefs over the course of 2 weeks. To enter the competition, hopeful interns replied to the brief of their choosing with a meme, vine, photo or anything else they could think of.
Entries were culled down to 8 finalists who traveled to NYC to compete in front of the judges at a live event during Ad Week. A brief was provided by the Ad council, and each contestant had 4 minutes to present. The judges selected five winners, and one grand-prize winner to each receive a paid, 30-day internship.
